 Marksmanship Training

This course is designed for the beginner to get up to speed with all the long range lingo and methods. Proper fundamentals and techniques that allow the shooter more success on the range are covered. You will learn how easy it can be and not in an intimidating environment. Fun for everyone and very educational. TONS of information.

Accreditions

Firearms competencies is accredited with PFTC, which is a SAQA recognized Professional Body. PFTC’s role is to regulate the firearm trainers and assessors of South Africa with clear performance standards and guidelines, of which TSU Training Solutions is part of.

Equipment Needed

  • Licensed Rifle (Rifle with telescope can be provided at extra cost)
  • Telescope
  • Ammunition- a minimum of 300 rounds
  • Rifle bag or carry case
  • Bi pod if available
  • Binoculars if available
  • GPS if available
  • Range finder if available
  • Ear protection- will be provided
  • Comfortable clothing
  • Shooting mat if available-will be provided
  • Spotting scope if available

Entry Requirements

  • Preferable tactical experience
  • Preferable Use of weapons

Security Training

Assessment Methods

Based on theoretical and practical assessment and through comprehensive scenario based exercises, all course objectives must be passed in order to obtain your Marksmanship certificate.

Course Duration

12 days

Cost of the Marksmanship Training Course

R 25 500 (including VAT). Maximum 7 Students. Cost includes:

  • Lectures
  • Transport to the farm from TSU Offices
  • Weekend in the Hunting Field with accommodation and meals + 1 x Hunt

Costs above do not include:

  • Rifle and Telescope (Can be provided at an extra cost of R2500.00)
  • .308 Ammunition (Can be provided if prior arrangements are made)
  • Accommodation whilst on course

Accommodation

  • At R 450.00 per member per night – Room sharing (Excl. 14% VAT)
  • At R 750.00 per member per night – Single room Accommodation (Excl. 14% VAT)
